All hirings of Priezac Cottage are subject to the following terms and conditions.
All bookings are made with David and Doreen Sedgewick and any reference in this or other documentation to "we" or "us" means David and Doreen Sedgewick. The person making the booking and signing the booking form agrees to enter into a contract with David and Doreen Sedgewick on the following terms and conditions. Your signature on the booking form will be taken as confirmation that you and all persons in your party understand and accept all of these conditions which are as follows:-
BOOKING CONDITIONS:
1. Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday unless agreed in writing beforehand.
2. Check in is from 4pm and checkout by 10am unless agreed in writing beforehand.
3. DEPOSIT:-A deposit of 20% of the total cost together with a completed and signed booking form is required to secure the booking.
4. PAYMENT OF BALANCE:- The balance is due 6 weeks before the holiday booking start date. If the payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to give notice by e-mail or in writing that the reservation is cancelled.
5. LATE BOOKINGS:- Bookings made less than 6 weeks before the holiday booking start date must be paid in full at the time of the booking. The security deposit must also be paid in full at this time. (see item 6)
6. SECURITY DEPOSIT:- A security deposit of £75 is required for each hiring and is payable when the final balance is due. All hirings are subject to the condition that hirers will pay for any damage caused by them to the property and its contents during their occupancy. Priezac cottage is cleaned and carefully checked before and after each hiring, and we do expect that hirers will leave the property clean and in good order at the end of their stay. The security deposit will be returned in full by cheque as long as the cottage has been left in a clean and tidy condition and there are no unreported damages or breakages.
7. CLEANING:- If you do not wish to clean the property before you leave then this can be done for you at a cost of £30 which can be deducted from the security deposit. Please let Doreen know if you wish to utilise this service.
8. CANCELLATION BY THE HIRER:- If you need to cancel your booking we must be notified in writing or by e-mail. The cancellation will take effect from the day the confirmation is received by us. The following charges will then apply, depending on when the notiification is received:
MORE THAN 16 WEEKS BEFORE BOOKING START DATE - no charge and and the deposit will be refunded in full.
BETWEEN 6 AND 16 WEEKS OF BOOKING START DATE - 20% of total booking fee is payable. ie deposit is not refundable.
WITHIN 6 WEEKS OF BOOKING START DATE- the full amount of the booking is payable.
9. CANCELLATION INSURANCE:- We strongly advise that full holiday & travel insurance (including cancellation cover) is taken out by all hirers,which should ensure that you recover your costs in the unfortunate event that you have to cancel.
10. CANCELLATION BY US:- Though it is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements, it may conceivably happen, and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If, for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to provide you with the dates you have booked, and you are unable or unwilling to accept an alternative, we will cancel the booking and refund any sums paid by you. We will not be liable for any further obligations or claims.
11. PAYMENTS:- We do not have facilities for payment by credit card. Please make cheques payable to D.Sedgewick.
GENERAL CONDITIONS & INFORMATION :
12. A maximum of 4 people are allowed to stay in the cottage at one time (excluding babies).
13. We have 1 cot available with bedding.
14. All bed linen, duvets and towels are included in the cottage hiring, and beds are fully made up ready for your arrival. If your booking is for more than 1 week a change of bedding and towels will be provide at the end of the first week.
15. Electricity, cooking gas and hot water are included in the hiring price.
16. The cottage is STRICTLY NON SMOKING.
17. One well behaved pet is welcome. The cottage garden is secure. Please note there may be cows in adjacent fields so please observe the pet agreement. (see below)
18. Use of Priezac Cottage is at the hirer's own risk. No liability shall fall on the owners for any injury sustained during your stay or for loss of personal property, We recommend that adequate insurance cover should be taken out by the hirer.
19. By signing the booking form you are deemed to have read and accepted these booking conditions and you must ensure that all members of your party understand and comply with these terms and conditions.
PET AGREEMENT
a. The owner agrees at all times to keep the dog under full control and to ensure there is no conflict with farm or other animals or persons.
b. The owner shall provide suitable bedding for the dog.
c. The dog must be pest free before entering the cottage.
d. The dog must not be allowed on furniture or beds.
e. The dog must not be left alone in the cottage.
f. The owner must ensure that any dog fouling within the cottage grounds and the surrounding grounds is promptly removed.
OTHER INFORMATION
Please note: The cottage has an open spiral staircase to the first floor bedrooms that might be difficult for very young or very elderly persons without assistance.
